Forespar HECF 24 Elbow 1-1/2" Female

Bought two of these parts and in both cases, the male threaded part to be joined to this part screwed in easily for one to two turns and then increasingly became difficult to screw in. finally was not able to screw in at all. I was able to thread parts about 1/3 of the way.
