WINCH-REWIND 12 VOLT HORIZONAL

The Rewind is a truly unique and practical electric winch.
Unlike standard electric winches - where lines are trimmed under power but must be eased by hand, the Rewind Radial lets you safely both ease and trim highly-loaded sails under power without ever taking the line out of the self-tailer, a patented feature. (The unique rewind function is accomplished via the same two winch switches installed for standard two-speed functioning.)

Installing Rewind Electric Self-Tailing Radial Winches as primaries means that when trimming your headsail you don't have to sit on, or crawl down to, the low side every time you want to ease the sheet. Install a set of buttons on the high side or at the helm to avoid the hassle and keep weight where it's needed.
Rewind winches can be a huge safety and convenience factor in rough conditions.

Like all electric Radials, the Rewind can be operated as a normal Harken two-speed electric winch.
When needed, a simple flip of the red knob on the Rewind's base turns on the rewind feature. A spring-loaded arm of investment-cast stainless steel funnels and keeps line captive as it feeds in and out of the self-tailer while you adjust the sail under fingertip control.
Again, like all electric Radials, the Rewind can also be used as a two-speed manual winch by inserting a winch handle into the top socket.

Each electric winch requires one control box, one circuit breaker, and two analog switches or one Digital System Dual Function Switch - see Accessory Products, below. All current electric Radial and Performa electric winches are supplied with the appropriate dual-function control box.
